Types of Cutter Creasers

There are a number of varieties of cutter creasers that we offer here at AfterPrint Ltd. We want to ensure that each of our customers is investing in the right machinery for their needs, thats why we have pulled together some information on our range to start you off in the right direction.

Cutter Creasers

Each of our different ranges enables you to complete different tasks to suit the needs of your business. This means that to ensure you are able to complete orders/tasks in a timely manner, you will need to be using the correct machine. The range of machines we offer includes:

Creasing Machines

Creasing machines have been designed to help combat the common issue that was previously found when folding print media, cracking. Former methods of folding could crack the media along the spine of the fold. Creasing machines have been designed to stretch that edge media and crease the spine in a way that avoids that crack.

Cutter Creasers

Cutter creasers, in this case, are exactly as they say on the tin. They cut and they crease. As with creasing machines, they help to fold your print media. They can also be used to cut your media to shape and side, being used as a guillotine, a perforator and a rotary die cutter.

Digital Die-Cutters

Die-cutting started its popularity in the leather shoe industry, and has progressed across a number of industries since, including landing in the print finish industry. Digital die cutters offer a variety of cutting options, to introduce computerised cuts to your print. Our range of digital die-cutting machines offers a wide range of applications including: Dedicated signage, in-store displays, banners, bespoke packaging, labels, point of sale media, personalised commercial print work with special finishing applications, the list is endless.

Crease & Fold

Unlike traditional folding machines, which rely on a fixed stopper and buckle plate to create a fold in the sheet, these machines use a crease tool combined with knife folding technology to create a fold in media up to 400gsm. These machines are exceptionally useful when folding large volumes of print media.

Business Card Cutters

Some organisations may not require the flexibility of other cutting machines, or may choose to have a business card cutter as an additional machine. These are great machines that incorporate a slitting cassette which is fixed in position, but interchangeable. They also offer a higher production value with speeds of up to 300 cards per minute.

For more information about our collection of machines, or if you are still unsure as to which machine is right for you, please feel free to get in touch and a member of our expert team will be more than happy to assist you. We also offer 2nd user machines, these are updated regularly so please check back if you do not see what you are looking for today.
